My Little Man

I often tuck Riley in bed and close the day with a "good night, little man." I was recently reminded of how big he is getting when he responded, "good night, big woman." I had no comment and was left a little taken back. I suddenly heard heard Royal giggling in the other room and went to bed wondering just how much I should read into his comment. Little boys!!!

True Cause for CELEBRATION!!!

Lisa and Alan are officially married! We have enjoyed two weekends of weddings and are excited about adding Ally and Bryan to our family!!!

Father's Day Celebration

I wanted to propose a Father's Day Barbecue on Sunday, June 15th around 4:00 ish. We'll do the hamburgers and everyone can bring their favorite barbecue side dish.

Sunday Afternoon

We are enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon at home. We had a wonderful get-a-way and truly learned the value of the phrase "VIP". It's all about the little things!

We ventured up Snow Canyon for a short (6-7 mile) hike in the sand. What an adventure!!! I was a little nervous about running into unwanted reptiles; however, Dad wasn't! We saw the back country of red rocks and it was beautiful. That was one benefit of cooler weather.

Our Sunday School Teacher started his lesson asking us to reflect on words from others that had changed our lives. He then went on teaching of how Abinadi's words changed Alma's life and how Abinadi had no idea he was teaching Alma. He was simply following instruction from God.

My mind started jumping all over the place thinking of all of the incredible life lessons I learn from my family and how much each of you have and do impact my life. I've said this before and I'm sure I'll say it again. I'm grateful we are on this earthly journey together!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Now that I've read Pam's posting and know that the official word is out--CONGRATULATIONS Lisa and Bryan! We are so excited and happy for you! It's going to be one incredible August!!!

We're Off--

We are headed to St. George for a short stay filled with hiking, swimming and relaxing! The boys are still not feeling the best but we're going anyway.

Our school did a green slime challenge allowing the class that walked the most a chance to slime the Gold Medal School Coordinator and the Principal. We mixed up some fantastic pancake batter and colored it green. It sat for about 15 minutes before the sliming began. Brayden and Riley were off track so they were helping the PTA. Brayden was taking pictures while Riley was helping to dish the slime until the smell, texture, etc. got the best of him and he lost it on the stage. Luckily there was enough commotion that not many people noticed but he was devastated. I've learned a good slime lesson!

Alan is going to have his wisdom teeth out on Friday. Good luck Al! Hopefully it will be quick and easy and over! And we know you will look darling with chubby cheeks :)

It's Monday!

Happy Monday! I'm having a little trouble getting my computer time with the boys home. We had a fabulous weekend. The PTA retreat reminded me that I'm far to old to stay up all night doing crazy girl stuff but it was fun. For those of you who we saw this weekend, you won't be happy to hear that Riley woke up with a fever this morning. Perhaps he wasn't contagious when we saw you; and if anyone gets sick, let me apologize in advance!

How blessed I am to have such an amazing family!

That's right Thank Goodness its Friday and hopefully we can have a wonderful weekend!
Kim is in Park City at a PTA retreat so me and the Boys will be partying until Saturday about Noonish. We hope not to make the news tonight but you never can tell about us. Don't worry I will try and post pictures if things get to out of hand!!

Wow this really is taking off for the gang is it.

Kim, you have done a great job and I can probably learn something about what is going on in the family just by reading our blog once in a while.

I guess something that we should all do is congradulate our latest news to the Family and that is Alan and Alley's engagement.. Congratuations to the two of you!!!! :)

Big step for me...

I hope I can easily edit this because Dad is usually the one creating these types of things! I have so enjoyed reading your entries and smiling about your experiences. I think I'm going to like this!

The boys are off track for a couple of weeks and we are going to work on being healthier--off to a great start with sugar cereal for breakfast. Soccer is over and the neighborhood played football at our house last night. Now that the boys are getting bigger, I think I need a bigger yard.

Brayden is coordinating a family project to earn his Family Life Merit Badge. We are redoing our sandbox and extending it into a flower bed. Always a project...
